A Personal Reflection on Challenges and Aspirations in Teaching Profession

My name is Mukesh Yadav, and I was born into a middle-class family in the Rautahat district. In 2016, I earned my Master’s degree in Biotechnology from the Central Department of Biotechnology, Tribhuvan University. I have served as an educator at various colleges. Our pay does not meet our needs. Teaching was not something that piqued my attention. At the time, I was utterly despised. Working with many texts sparked my interest in teaching. This field is more captivating and exciting for producing novelties. Despite my distinct background, I have the finest opinion of English teachers. Nowadays, there are differences in the temperament of students. When it comes to facilities, the public and private sectors are superior. This makes it impossible for instructors to work effectively and keeps them from staying in one area for extended periods of time, which further damages their identities. Teachers need to be highly skilled and well compensated if we are to have a great country. As you can see from this section, all teachers work nonstop to ensure that their children have bright futures. Due to low income, the teaching profession is losing interest these days. The majority of teachers establish their own institutions in order to make a penny in a given amount of time.

In my opinion, this frame of mind also impedes the development of the teacher identity. The personality of a teacher is formed by their actions and expertise. Teachers can develop their identities by taking part in seminars, workshops, presentations, and thought-provoking discussions. The newest advancements in English language teaching should excite teachers. Being a teacher truly requires one to be extremely honest and devoted to their work.

Ultimately, things will get exceptionally straightforward if we carry out our responsibilities honestly. Furthermore, accountability and teacher identity are linked. If you fulfil your responsibilities with accountability, everything will fall into place. The teacher must have a great deal of empathy for the pupil. Teachers must to be compassionate towards all students and possess a sense of compassion Despite teaching is an incredibly interesting profession, there are ups and downs periodically. Therefore, I once equated teaching to riding a roller coaster. I suspect that frequently we lose all inspiration, enthusiasm in the field of teaching domains. A teacher should carry a wealth of ideas in addition to having an excellent grasp of the subject matter. These resources may include additional teaching aids such as audio files, films, and newspapers. A teacher should be a real inspiration to everyone, serving as a role model. Teachers carry out their obligations effectively when they are content with their jobs and their pay.

A teacher’s salary might serve as an indication of excellence or a motivator to improve their performance. There are several differences between the private and public educational systems. There is less stress associated with work and other preparations in government schools than there is in private schools. Nevertheless, a handful of colleges can provide you a wage comparable to that of the government or can relate to your demands or desires. Thank you!
